On February 13, 2023 at approximately 5:30 am Pomona PD received a call of a child not breathing at an apartment complex in the 1800 block of Cordova St. Neighbors and paramedics arrived and initiated lifesaving efforts. The child was transported to Pomona Valley Hospital, but was unable to be resuscitated and pronounced deceased.

Investigators from the Pomona Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit responded and began an investigation. During the investigation, witnesses and family members were interviewed. The investigation is on-going in cooperation with the LA County Coroners Office.
