Following a brief dispute, Anthony Montenegro intentionally hit Andrew Lee Duarte with his vehicle near Holt Ave. and Hershey St. on Friday, November 17, 2023. Duarte was taken to a nearby hospital and unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.
Investigators identified Montenegro in connection to the murder of Duarte. Montenegro was arrested in the City of Pomona and booked at the Pomona City Jail. The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office has filed the following charges:

It should be noted there was only one fatal traffic collision reported November 17, 20023, which happened at Indian Hill Blvd and Lincoln Ave. No other fatal traffic accidents were reported.
The time of the original incident and incident number is unknown. Both items remain pending until The Pomonan receives more information.
It should also be noted there has been several other traffic collisions including a fatal collision at this particular intersection earlier this year.
