At 5:15 p.m., Campus Safety issued a shelter-in-place order for students on campus, while those off campus were advised to stay away due to a potential active shooter on the campus of Mckenna College.
Helicopters circled above the Colleges as students in North Quad were directed to evacuate toward Harvey Mudd College by Campus Safety and law enforcement officers.
This situation is still unfolding, and updates will be provided as new details become available.
The Claremont Police Department and other supporting law enforcement agencies, has determined that there is no active threat on campus. The Shelter-in-Place order has been lifted.
Earlier, CPD dispatch received a report of an active shooter and responded, working in coordination with TCC Campus Safety and CMC Public Safety. After a thorough search of the campus, no evidence of a threat was found. Normal campus operations will now resume.
